Havening is a progressive new therapy that enables people to overcome trauma, fears and phobias.
It has been proved to be amazingly effective in helping people suffering from Post Traumatic stress disorder and there are currently numerous clinical trials taking place in the UK and USA to prove its effectiveness.
When someone experiences a stressful or traumatic event it becomes encoded within the pathways of the brain. This can then cause the person to experience negative feelings and thoughts when ever they are exposed to something that reminds them of the event. Sometimes this is an unconscious process as the person may not remember the event that caused the problem in the first place.
Havening works by de-activating this pathway in the brain allowing the person to still have the memory without having the negative side effects or re-experiencing the event.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) works on the idea that all the areas of our lives requiring improvement are the result of unresolved emotional issues.
The therapy involves tapping on various points of the body to correct disturbances in the meridian system, whilst speaking affirmations.
I use EFT with clients as part of a coaching or havening session and often teach my clients to use it for themselves in their day to day lives.
